Witness, the Peter Gabriel-led non-profit (and inaugural Choose GOOD partner) just launched The Hub.

What's The Hub? It's an online media forum where users can upload footage that relates to global human rights issues. Kind of like YouTube but more focused on issues that matter.

With the ubiquity of YouTube we were a little skeptical about this idea initially. What could The Hub add? But then we realized that it's not about what The Hub adds. Just the opposite: YouTube is so flooded that an additional filter is really valuable. And the potential for amateur citizen journalism is incredible.
