  response to  Patrick James's post The Work Of Criticism In The Age Of Cinematic Reproduction

  The democratization of film reviews has largely been beneficial, yet I think there will always be a valuable space for the 'professional' critic. Roger Ebert's latest post about the role of the critic in highlighting powerful themes of redemption and human achievement will continue to inspire the public to pursue films that inspire.
