  The American Ambassador Mix :: 1985 - 2007

  I crafted this mix as a Thank You gift for my hosts as I CouchSurfed my way around Europe during my inaugural journey abroad. Each of the 23 tracks represent the 23 calendar years my life has touched; there is one emblematic/kick ass American song per year. These songs were not necessarily chosen as to reflect my favorite music from each year; I feel as though I have chosen songs that capture a snapshot of American life or comment on the American condition/stereotype.

  These songs are meant to complement the impression I left with my hosts: America is, actually, not all that bad!
